New Basic class Mon. Jan. 6 @ 6:30 (OPEN) 2025
7 weeks, eight hours total class time. Week 1 is orientation. It is two hours and will cover leash handling and footwork. We will also discuss behavior and any problems you want to work on in the remaining 6 classes (1 hour each). Do not bring your dog to orientation. The focus is on responsible dog ownership and making your dog a good canine citizen for the benefit of your family, friends and community. Dogs must be 4 months or older, this class is perfect for any dog that has never had training.
7 weeks, one hour per week. Prerequisite: Must have successfully the completed Basic Obedience course. This class continues to build on commands learned in Basic, but with more distractions and a gradual approach to off leash training. Advanced Obedience also teaches "Attention handling" as well. This course helps to polish your skills as well as your dogs skills.
Prerequisite: Instructors approval. This class focuses on those who want to continue training with their dogs upon completion of other classes. All aspects of competition obedience are covered in this class including jumping and retrieving (dumbell). More off leash training and lots of distractions. Great class for those who enjoy regularly working with their dog and learning new things. Every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8:00 (walk in) distractions and a gradual approach to off leash training. Advanced Obedience also teaches "Attention handling" as well. This course helps to polish your skills as well as your dogs skills.
