Obedience Laboratory Rules & Forms
General Information
You must be at least 16 years old to train at Obedience Laboratory. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to class. Comfortable, casual attire and no backless shoes or high heels. Obedience Laboratory is located in a residential area. Do not park on the O.L. lawn or on the neighboring lawn. Park in the driveway parking lot, you can park on the road off to the side, but do not block street traffic. Arrive on time and leave promptly, this will allow the next class to park in the driveway. Being courteous assures everybody will get in and out safely. The Obedience Laboratory Training Building is located on the back of the property. Please shut the gates behind you as you enter and head towards the backyard.
Health Requirements: Your dog must have had and be up to date on all vaccinations appropriate for his/her age. These include distemper, leptospirosis, hepatitis, parvovirus, bordatella (kennel cough), and rabies. Dogs should have had a recent stool check and also be on heartworm preventative.
Weather Policy: If the weather is questionable on the night of class for any reason, (rain, snow, ice, flooding, etc.) call 734-782-4026 two hours before your classes starting time.
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check if we are having class.

Special Class Information: Week 1 of Basic Class is orientation. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG TO THIS CLASS. Your trainer, Jackie, will be demonstrating with her dogs. This allows you to focus on proper footwork and leash control. This will also give you the opportunity to discuss behaviors and problems you want to work on in the classes to come. Remember, training classes are not a competition, all dogs learn at different rates. Your dog is your partner so have fun! Mistakes are how you learn, keep it light, and you and your dog will both be successful.
Class Registration: For information on class schedules and prices please call Jackie at 734-782-4026. To register for classes just download the forms below (PDF) and mail them to the address listed on the registration forms.
Include:
- Registration Forms (Parts 1 & 2 filled out) Please fill in the DATE of your class
- Hold Harmless Agreement (Signed)
- Copy of dog's health records
- Registration Fee
By paying for your class in advance you are reserving a place in the class for you and your dog. Remember, class size is limited and they fill up fast!
